Weekend preview: Molly Ringwalds and more

The Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra says today’s thundershowers will not derail tonight’s Molly Ringwalds show and white linen affair at Point Cadet pavilion.

The fund-raiser, which gives concertgoers a sneak peek at the new pavilion and park, begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 at the door.  Naomi’s Catering will provide food and refreshments for the event.

Those attending should enter drive up from the Howard Avenue entrance, near the Palace Casino Resort parking garage. Free parking is available at the north side of the park.

Elsewhere this weekend: “Glengarry Glen Ross” wraps up its two-weekend engagement at Biloxi Little Theater, and you’ll find concerts by Loretta Lynn, Sinbad, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Kellie Pickler, and the Alabama Blues Brothers.
