Weather service warns of wintry mix of conditions

The National Weather Service is warning motorists and residents to prepare for a wintry mix of weather — light sleet, freezing rain and possibly even snow flurries — over the next several hours.

The weather service expects little or no snow accumulation. Temperatures this evening are expected to dip as low as 35 degrees, and north winds are expected between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
