The National Weather Service, warning of wind gusts as high as 40 mph, has issued a wind advisory for Biloxi and the surrounding area.
The weather service said the advisory is in effect from 9 this evening until 10 Tuesday morning. Sustained winds of 25 to 30 mph are expected, with gusts of 35 to 40 mph.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles and for those traveling on elevated roadways.
