Hands-on, professional mold remediation training will be offered this week in Biloxi for leaders of volunteer groups now working on the Gulf coast.
Sessions will take place Wednesday, Thursday and Friday beginning at 9 a.m. Travis Tassey, a mold specialist with 17 years of experience and owner of ADE Environmental in Los Angeles, will demonstrate effective demolition and cleaning techniques, safety information, and procedures to help prevent mold re-growth.
Those interested should report by 9 a.m. Wednesday to the East Biloxi Coordination Center, which is at Greater St. John AME Church, 551 Division St.
Participants must bring their own safety equipment, such as gloves and masks, as the mold seminars will be on location and involve hands-on training.
