Tops in Blue in Biloxi Tuesday; other news and notes

Tops in Blue, the Air Force’s premier expeditionary entertainment team, is scheduled to give a free public performance on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.

Doors open to the public at 6:30 p.m. There is no charge for parking.

Tops In Blue serves as an expeditionary entertainment team, using active-duty Air Force personnel to provide quality entertainment to audiences worldwide. The performance team also promotes community relations and supports recruiting efforts, while serving as goodwill ambassadors for the country and Air Force. The 35 vocalists, musicians and dancers competed in base talent competitions to earn spots with the group.

Since 1953, Tops In Blue performers have presented more than 7,000 shows, including appearances at six World Fairs, more than 100 state fairs and festivals, six Bob Hope Specials and before a live and broadcast audience of 110 million at Super Bowl XIX.
