The week that was: Construction, fire and police

The Community Development Department issued 65 permits with a total valuation of over $1 million last week. Also, approved were site plans for a proposed Dunkin’ Doughnuts at the northwest corner of Cedar Lake and Popp’s Ferry, Subway in Woolmarket and Waffle House on Beach Boulevard. 

Meantime, the calls for service decreases slightly for the Fire and Police Departments.  The Biloxi Fire Department responded to 115 calls, including 69 medical emergencies and 4 fires, while the Biloxi Police Department reported 1996 calls for service, making 136 arrests.
