Thanksgiving Feed the needy accepting orders

The Biloxi Police Department, along with Harrison County public safety agencies and donors, are working together to once again host “Feed the Needy,” a program to deliver Thanksgiving Day meals to the homes of those who might otherwise not have a Thanksgiving meal that day.

Meals – which will be delivered – must be requested by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20, and are limited to four meals or less per household.

Those interested should contact their respective law enforcement agency:

— Biloxi Police, 228-385-3033

— D’Iberville Police, 228-396-4252

— Gulfport Police, 228-868-5703

— Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, 228-896-0606

— Long Beach Police, 228-865-1981

— Pass Christian Police, 228-452-3301

The Feed the Needy Program has grown from feeding a few people to providing 4,000 meals for those in need and is only possible through generous donations and local volunteers. This will be the 35th year of the program.

To donate to the program, contact the D’Iberville Police Department by phone at 228-396-4252 or by mail at Attn: Feed the Needy Program, 11290 Lamey Bridge Road, D’Iberville, MS 39540. To volunteer for meal delivery, contact Biloxi Police at 228-385-3033 or email aherndon@biloxi.ms.us or jmorgan@biloxi.ms.us.
