Take a trip into imagination on the Town Green

Main Street Biloxi continues it’s highly successful “Drive-in Movie” Series on the Town Green on March 22 with Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The festivities begin at 6:00 pm with the door prizes, giveaways and lots of fun. The movie will be shown at dark. The movie is co-sponsored by the City of Biloxi, Beau Rivage Casino Resort, The Bay Press and WQYZ 92.5 FM. Admission is free so grab the blankets and lawn chairs and bring the whole family.

The movie tells the story of pure of heart Charlie Bucket (Peter Ostrum) along with four grossly gluttonous girls and boys win the opportunity to tour eccentric recluse Willy Wonka’s (Gene Wilder) magical candy factory and the chance to win a lifetime supply of chocolate in this adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic. One-by-one, the children are undone by their own greed as the group sails down chocolate rivers, floats through the Fizzy Lifting Drinks room, and becomes part of Wonkavision until only Charlie is left to claim a prize even more grand than a lifetime of chocolate.

In addition to the movie presentation the Biloxi Police Department will be selling their famous fried fish dinners for $5.00 with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and the Special Olympic Torch Run.
