Recording artist Shayna Steele, who cut her performing teeth before Biloxi audiences, will be featured this evening in the Gulf Coast Symphony’s Holiday Peppermint Pops performance at the Saenger Theater in downtown Biloxi.
The evening of seasonal music, a symphony tradition, will begin at 7 p.m. and also will feature the Gulf Coast Symphony Youth Orchestra. For ticket information: 896-4276.
Among the headliners in Biloxi casino resorts this weekend: The All-American Rejects & Taking Back Sunday and the Kenny Rogers Christmas Show at the IP, the Village People and Gloria Gaynor at the Beau Rivage, and Bowfire at the Hard Rock.

New Huffmaster calendar highlights Biloxi
Just in time for Christmas shoppers comes a new calendar featuring whimsical renderings by Elizabeth Huffmaster with a decidedly Biloxi flavor.
Magnolia Printing & Copying, known for its colorful calendars featuring artwork by the popular Coast watercolorist, offers a 2010 calendar, “The Boating Life,” with — for the first time — prints of the artwork.
Prints feature Coast boating scenes, including several from Biloxi: The Blessing of the Fleet, the Biloxi Schooner, Smokin’ the Sound and Grasshopper Island.
Huffmaster’s artwork is printed on 16×20 extra-heavy 100# cover stock. The limited-edition prints are priced at $20 each, or purchase the entire set of 14 for only $200. Prints are available exclusively through Magnolia Printing & Copying in Gulfport.
