South portion of Beauvoir Road to close Nov. 1

Those who travel Beauvoir Road from U.S. 90 will soon have to adjust their route as the next phase of infrastructure is set to take place, closing the south portion of the roadway.

Beginning November 1, Beauvoir Road, from U.S. 90 north to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum’s east gate, will be closed to through traffic so that contractors with Necaise Brothers Construction can install new water and sewer lines along the roadway.

Detour signs will be posted early next week directing motorists who wish to access Beauvoir Road from U.S. 90 to travel north on either Veterans Avenue or Eisenhower Drive to Pass Road then travel to Beauvoir Road.

Businesses along Beauvoir Road will remain open during the infrastructure work.

The south portion of Beauvoir is expected to remain closed until February 1, 2023.

The project is part of a $32 million, 1,080-day project to install new water, sewer, and drainage lines in West Biloxi along U.S. 90 from Veterans Avenue to Debuys Road. Work on the project began in July.

Installation of a 16-inch water line and 10-inch sewer lines along U.S. 90 between Edgewater Mall and Pine Grove and Beauvoir Road to Brady Road has been completed. Currently, contractors are installing a 15-inch sewer along U.S. 90 from Ocean Club Boulevard to Brady Drive. While this work is taking place, intermittent right lane closures are expected through December.
