The Biloxi Bay Chamber of Commerce has announced that Mayor A.J. Holloway’s State of the City address will be delivered to a standing-room-only audience on Thursday.
The chamber said that the last of the 450 seats for the Isle of Capri luncheon was sold Monday afternoon.
The mayor is expected to present a 20-minute speech, making significant announcements about work on the traffic improvements projects at Bayview Avenue, Popp’s Ferry Road and Caillavet Street, as well as providing status reports on several other major initiatives.
The speech will be replayed on TV and radio on Friday: Cable One will rebroadcast it at noon and 7 p.m. on Cable Channel 13 in Biloxi, and WQYZ-FM 92.5 will air at 7:40 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The text of the address also will be available on the city’s web site Thursday afternoon.
