Registration is now open for the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame Golf Scramble, which takes place Friday, June 15 at the Beau Rivage’s Fallen Oak Golf Club.
The tournament, open to four-member teams, returns for a third year, and this year players will have a chance to play with the New Orleans Saints as well as the New Orleans Pelicans.
Each team entry will receive one additional player from a pool of New Orleans Saints Hall of Famers, current New Orleans Saints players/coaches and current New Orleans Pelicans players/coaches. The field is limited to the first 22 four-member teams. The 18-hole scramble begins at 11 a.m. but players are asked to be on site by 10 a.m.
Entry fee is $1,000, tax deductible, per team and is due at time of registration. The deadline for entry is 5 p.m. Monday, June 4. To enter, call Main Street Biloxi at 228-435-6370, or email kmiller@biloxi.ms.us or lrosetti@biloxi.ms.us.
Coastal cuisine and beverages will be provided on the course for all participants. Gift certificates will be awarded to the top three teams upon conclusion of play, and special prizes will also be presented for closest-to-the hole and longest drive contests. In the event of inclement weather, all prizes will be awarded by draw.

News and notes: Mothers, Spring Break, Ohr coffee
Mother of the Year: Lehwmon Ross Skremetti and Alicia Tarrant were the two recipients of the Biloxi Lions Club Mother of the Year award during a club luncheon today at the Biloxi Yacht Club. Biloxi Chief Administrative Officer Mike Leonard presented each with a proclamation on behalf of Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich. To see images from the event, click here.
Ward meeting: The Spring Break traffic plan will be the topic this evening at 6 when Councilmember Paul Tisdale holds a Ward 5 meeting at the Donal M. Snyder Sr. Community Center, 2520 Pass Road. Among those attending the meeting will be leaders of the Biloxi Police Department, who will answer questions about spring break, which took place April 13-15.
Perk Up: The Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art will host four pop-up coffee shops, “Perk Up Saturdays,” beginning this Saturday. The museum is teaming up with Fair Grinds Coffeehouse from New Orleans to offer fair trade coffees, teas and assorted menu items. To see more about the museum, click here.
