Shuckers unveil new membership programs

OK, the NFL debacle in New Orleans is history, unfair as it is to fleur-de-lis faithful, and now it’s time to turn attention to baseball, Shuckers-style.

The Biloxi Shuckers, following up on a 2018 all-star-studded season that set Southern League and franchise records, have rolled out their new Shuck Nation memberships, joining the traditional season ticket with a variety of exclusive experiences and better access to the team.

Biloxi doesn’t open its 2019 schedule until April 4 at 6:35 p.m. hosting the Birmingham Barons at MGM Park, but the team’s front office has launched its ticket campaign.

The Shuckers offer a couple of options to join Shuck Nation: a Full Season membership and Weekender membership, with a six-month payment plan for as low as $36 a month.

“This program we’ve created is designed to give members more benefits, events and discounts than they’ve ever experienced and provide more value to being a member of Shuck Nation,” said Biloxi Shuckers General Manager Hunter Reed. “The most important thing to know is it’s more than having season tickets and we’re not just changing the name to call it a membership. You’re going to get invited to quality events and be part of the team throughout the year.”

The Shuckers are coming off a banner 2018 season: The team recorded its fourth consecutive winning season, made the playoffs for the second time in four seasons and advanced to the Southern League Championship Series after toppling the Pensacola Blue Wahoos to win the South Division. â€‹Biloxi also took home all three major awards in the Southern League, including Manager of the Year (Mike Guerrero), MVP (Corey Ray) and Most Outstanding Pitchers (Zack Brown), just the fourth time in the history of the Southern League a team has claimed all three awards.

Additionally, the Shuckers had 10 Mid-Season All-Stars, three Postseason All-Stars and set 21 franchise records during the 2018 season, including winning a franchise-best 81 games and a franchise-best 47 wins at home, the most in the Southern League.

And now the Shuckers front office wants fans to be a bigger part of the activities: Shuck Nation members will have access to monthly VIP social events with featured guests, providing networking opportunities for businesses. Additional perks include chances for members to be on the field for batting practice throughout the season, a Shuck Nation membership card for discounts within MGM Park and around the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and the option to choose a couple of ballpark experiences, which could include include a professional photo on the field, throwing out the first pitch, sitting in the dugout pregame and going up to the Shuckers broadcast booth.

“What really makes Shuck Nation different is the unique flexibility with tickets,” Reed said. “All memberships come with fully-exchangeable tickets good to use in any quantity for any number of home games when exchanged in advance. Details: 228-233-34645 or click here.
