Shuckers return to MGM Park with myriad promotions

The Biloxi Shuckers return to the MGM Park tonight for an 11-game homestand, six games against the Mobile Baybears and five against the Pensacola Wahoos.  Tonight will be a doubleheader, with the first pitch at 5:30 p.m. followed by a makeup from a missed game on July 2. 

Along with the games, comes the promotions, and here’s a look at what to expect for when the Shuckers take on the Baybears.

Tonight: Doggone Doubleheader on Brew Crew Tuesday, presented by Miller lite: Two games for the price of one and two days of promotions on one night. Brew Crew: $3 Miller Lite, $4 Brats, and Milwaukee Brewers prizes throughout the game by participating in Brewers-themed social media trivia games.  Doggone Monday: $7 Berm ticket for you and your pups. Arrive early to participate in a pregame pooch parade on the field.  Gates open at 5 p.m. for a 5:35 p.m. first pitch. Each game will be seven innings, and the second game will take place immediately following a short break at the conclusion of the first game.

Wednesday: Biloxi Community Night & All-You-Can-Eat Wednesday, $20 ticket for a Shuckers buffet featuring Papa John’s Pizza, Murky Waters BBQ, hamburgers, hot dogs and more, while watching the game from the Community Bank Terrace.  It’s also City of Biloxi Night. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch.

Thursday: First Responders Night, featuring Pregame Guns N’ Hoses Softball Match-Up & Double Play Thursday presented by Polk’s Meat Products, Yuengling, Coca-Cola & Kicker 108.  Show appreciation to those who protect and serve our community.  A First Responders Vehicle Display will be on the north lawn including firetrucks, police cars, an ambulance and more. Gates will open at 4 p.m. for a Guns N’ Hoses Pregame Softball Match-Up event, beginning at 4:15 pm. where local police officers and firefighters battle it out. Also, Double Play Thursday night with: $2 hot dogs, $2 Yuengling Drafts, $2 Fountain Drinks and other $3 weekly draft specials.  Reserved level game ticket paired with two drink vouchers for $10. WXXV 25 will also be at the ballpark to promote the new seasons of 9-1-1 on FOX  and The Resident returning on Monday nights this Fall on FOX 25, and the return of Chicago airing on Wednesdays on NBC 25.  First pitch will be at 6:35 p.m..

Friday: Fireworks Friday & Southern Miss Night, University of Southern Mississippi Night and the Biloxi Shuckers team up with Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation to play for a cause, which is to end the cycle of domestic violence. Saturday:  Halfway to Mardi Gras Night & Jersey Auction benefiting the K&J Foundation, Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act Performance & More, Biloxi Shuckers will dress out in custom Mardi Gras-themed jerseys illustrated by local artist, Matt Stebly. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game to benefit the K&J Foundation, which promote seat belt safety. Jersey winners will go on the field after the game and meet the team to receive jerseys, autographs and photos.  Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for a pregame Mardi Gras parade featuring a special second line performance by Blackwater Brass. Seat belt safety simulators, Mardi Gras floats, games and more will be out on the north lawn before the gates open for the first pitch at 6:35 p.m.
