Shoe-box float winners recognized

Nearly two dozen students in Biloxi schools have been recognized for their efforts in the annual shoe box float contest.
The contest, which is designed to cultivate new interest in carnival history and traditions, is sponsored by Biloxi Public Schools, Gulf Coast Carnival Association, the Mardi Gras Museum, the Biloxi Bay Chamber of Commerce, Susan Hunt and Martha Tripp.
