This week in economic development, the final building permit was issued to Shaggy’s Restaurant to complete the new kitchen and deck addition.  Also issued this week was a building permit for renovations to the Golden Nugget Casino, to include the addition of new restrooms.
Building plans were received for a new Butler Homes Sales and Construction Office to be located at Lorraine Road and Woolmarket Road.
Renovation plans were received from  Orocon Construction for 325 Reynoir Street for their construction office only. Renovation Plans were also received for Jimmy John’s Restaurant to be located on Pass Road at Beauvoir, and building plans were received for 3 new single family houses.
At the Planning Commission meeting yesterday, the commission voted to approve an application for Short Term Rental for a townhome unit at 137 Reynoir Street. Also approved was an application for a recreational vehicle park for Boomtown Casino to be located at 676 Bayview Avenue. The approvals will now go before the city council for final consideration.
Permit valuations are currently $12 Million ahead of last year at this time, and sales tax revenues for March was $940,044, which was a $75,624 increase over March 2014.
