See the Clydesdales at City Hall Wednesday

The Budweiser Clydesdales will be in Biloxi on Wednesday, and you can get a close-up look at the stately horses and their shiney red beer wagon when the team arrives at City Hall between 5:50 and 6 p.m.

The Clydesdales, world-renowned as the ambassadors of Budwesier, will be greeted at City Hall by Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich and the reigning royalty of Gulf Coast Carnival.

“We’re certainly honored we were able to get the Clydesdales in town as part of their tour of the Southeast, and we figured since Mardi Gras is just around the corner, we’d involve Gulf Coast Carnival,” said Don “Breeze” Marie of Mitchell, local Budweiser distributors.

The horses will actually begin their Biloxi journey at 5:30 Wednesday evening, from Caillavet Street, at MGM Park, heading south on Caillavet, turning east on U.S. 90, and north on Lameuse, stopping at City Hall. Said Marie: “Everyone has seen these horses on TV, but this is a rare opportunity to see them up close. It’s the King of Beers, with the King and Queen of Gulf Coast Carnival, at Biloxi City Hall, no less. This Bud is for Biloxi.”
