This week in economic development, we are continuing to review the building construction plans for the proposed Hyatt Place Hotel, to be located on Beach Boulevard. We are also completing the building plans review for Dr. Michael Diaz’ Office and Surgical Center, to be constructed on Tommy Munro Boulevard. Earlier this week we issued a $200,000.00 renovation permit for the proposed Fuji Japanese Steakhouse to be located in the former Al Fresco’s Restaurant location in Edgewater Village. Building permits were also issued for two new single family homes. This week, we have issued 54  building permits with a total construction valuation of one million dollars.  As of the end of October, we are averaging $10.6 million dollars in construction valuation per month.
