Bush, Rogers, Colston headline Saints Day

Former Heisman winners George Rogers and Reggie Bush unite with standout receiver Marques Colston and NFL Hall of Famer Rickey Jackson in Biloxi this week when the annual Saints Hall of Fame Weekend returns for the fourth time.

An invitation-only reception and silent auction of Saints memorabilia will be held Thursday at the IP Casino Resort, but the public activity runs all day Friday. A scramble golf tournament at Grand Bear will begin at 11 a.m. with 110 players competing, including a Saints Hall of Famer or current Saints player assigned to help each of the 22 teams entered. A highlight of the round will be a seafood-and-Coast Cuisine extravaganza prepared by retired PGA Rules Official Mickey Bradley and his crew, who also cook for the annual PGA Champions Tour each year at Fallen Oak.

A free Saints and New Orleans Pelicans Kids Experience will run from 3-5 p.m. Friday on the north side of MGM Park. The skills challenge and instructional program is open to all children and a special segment for parents will highlight safety measures for youth sports.

Saints Hall of Famers and current Saints players will then attend the Biloxi Shuckers-Pensacola Blue Wahoos Minor League baseball game at MGM Park with the first pitch at 6:35 p.m. Former and current Saints will be available throughout the game for autographs and photos on the Concourse level near the stairs on the right field side of the stadium. Fireworks will follow the game. Tickets are available at the MGM Park Box Office.
