Rain wreaks havoc with road work

The torrential downpour on Thursday produced more rainfall than Biloxi typically sees the entire month of April, and the numbers for the month are already triple the amount the city normally sees. And more is on the way.

According to the weather authorities at Keesler Air Force Base, more than 11 inches of rain have fallen in the city since Saturday and 4.72 inches fell on Thursday alone. Typical rainfall average for April: 4.6 inches.

Today’s Biloxi A to Z report, an eight-minute complication, takes you to flooded construction sites in Woolmarket, on Point Cadet and at Division and Benachi streets, and you can hear the latest on COVID-19, the weekend preview, and the plans for golf carts on neighborhood streets.
