Two public hearings have been scheduled to give citizens a chance to learn more about plans for two significant city initiatives, the move to construct a new Popp’s Ferry bridge and the unveiling of the draft of the city’s comprehensive plan.
A hearing to present plans and seek input on the Popp’s Ferry plan will be conducted on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Donal M. Snyder Community Center. More than 11,000 postcards have been sent to west Biloxi residents about the meeting. To see the notice, click here.

Pinktober preview: Negrotto’s Gallery this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. will exhibit artwork by local artists while a pre-auction viewing of items donated will be displayed at Gilbert’s Salon. This event, which will feature the jazz group Red Velvet, is organized in an effort to promote the Hard Rock Cafe’s Pinktober concert and silent auction, which will be held on Saturday, Oct 17 to help fight breast cancer.
