Children’s Christmas Parade is Dec. 5

The Christmas on the Water Committee will Sponsor a Children’s Christmas Parade on Friday, Dec. 5.

The parade will begin at 6 p.m. on Howard Avenue at the I-110 overpass and end at the Biloxi Town Green, where the city will energize the Christmas lights on the Town Green.

Santa will be on the Town Green for visits and pictures with children, and residents are encouraged to bring ornaments to hang on a large Christmas tree.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be served.

Christmas on the Water parade planned for Dec. 6

The 23rd annual Christmas on the Water parade will take place Saturday, Dec. 6, beginning at 6.

Best viewing spots for the parade are locations from the Biloxi Lighthouse to Casino Row.

Main Street to host fourth Christmas in the City

Choirs, bands and dancers, pictures with Santa, and special Biloxi treats will be a part of the fourth annual Christmas in the City, which takes place Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in downtown Biloxi.

”We are looking ahead for another great Christmas Festival in downtown Biloxi, featuring vendors from all over,” said Main Street director Kay Miller.

Among the attractions: Main Street will be selling its collectible Christmas ornaments and a Biloxi afghan, and the Slavonian Ladies Auxiliary will be selling pusharatas.

Expanded RFQ now online

The City of Biloxi and infrastructure project manager HNTB have compiled an expanded RFQ for the city’s pending infrastructure project to include answers to questions from a recent pre-submittal conference.

Engineering and design firms have until Dec. 10 to turn in qualifications in order to be considered for various phases of the project.

The engineering and design firms will draft construction documents that the city will use to prepare bid packages for contractors.
