Here are images captured on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, during the grand finale of Christmas at Beauvoir and the sneak peek at the Mardi Gras Museum in downtown Biloxi. The evening began at Beauvoir, where the reigning rulers of Gulf Coast Carnival arrived to extinguish the lights at the west Biloxi national landmark before parading to the Magnolia Hotel in downtown Biloxi, site of the Mardi Gras Museum. The dual ceremonies were designed to pass the torch from the one holiday season to the next.
