Vieux Marche fire: the cleanup

Here are photos taken this afternoon at the scene of the Vieux Marche fire. Public Works crews used heavy equipment to topple unstable walls at the site. Crews were able to reach the top of the walls by piling bricks next to the charred structure. At 5 p.m., crews were preparing to topple walls on the east side of the structure. Walls were being knocked down in order to re-open Howard Avenue and Ohr Street to motorists and pedestrians. City of Biloxi photos by Vincent Creel. Click on individual images to enlarge.
