OK, so you’ve filled out the convenient online registration info for Biloxi Public Schools, and you clicked the submit button. All done, rigtht? Now you’re ready to get the kids to class on Aug. 6, right? Wrong.
Right now, of the 4,888 students who have been registered online and submitted the online forms, in slightly more than a quatter of the cases – 1,287, to be exact – parents have not dropped by their school to show proof of residency.
The fact is, the registration process is not complete – and your child is not registered – until you drop by the school to show two proofs of residency. One should be a utility bill no more than 30 days old; the other can be a driver’s license showing your current address. If this isn’t done by Friday, July 31, your child will not be allowed to begin class on the first day of school, Aug. 6.
Also, if you have not yet completed the online registration, now is the time to act. See the registration link below. It’s not too late.
As time continues to tick away, keep this fact in mind: A delay in registering your child could affect placement in their desired electives. In other words, Â classes fill up, just as they do in college. Act now.
