Here is the schedule of events for Saturday for the Kroc Center open house. (The pool will not be open to swimmers until Monday.)
10 a.m. — Open house begins
10:30 to 11 a.m. — Olympic Swimmer Neil Walker will be holding a swim demonstration
10:45 a.m. — Zumba class for anyone interested in trying it out.
11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. — Autograph session with Olympic swimmer Neil Walker, whose medals also will be on display.
11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Free hotdogs and hamburgers, while supplies last.
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — NBA Hornets Honeybees Cheerleaders performance and meet and greet.
12:30 p.m. – Kroc-themed craft activity
1 p.m. — Performance by WINGS
1:15 p.m. — Zumba class demonstration.
2:30 p.m. — Performance by MS Magic Irish Dancers
3 p.m. — Presentation by Olympic swimmer Neil Walker
3:15 p.m. — Zumba class demonstration.
Throughout the day: Inflatables, tours of the Kroc Center and Membership Incentives
Then on Sunday:
Everyone is invited to the official ribbon-cutting and service of dedication of The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center on Sunday at 2:30pm. Lt. Gov. Phil Bryant will be the guest speaker for the ceremony. Tours of the Kroc Center and light refreshments will be offered.
