Mississippi Gulf Coast Navy Week festivities comes to Biloxi this evening with a performance by the Navy Band Southeast.
The Navy Band Southeast’s Ceremonial Band will perform at the Lighthouse Park Pavilion, west of the Biloxi Visitors Center, beginning at 6 p.m. The performance is free to attend but it is requested that guests bring their own lawn chairs.
As the musical representation of the Commander, Navy Region Southeast, and one of 11 official U.S. Navy Bands, the traditional military band consists of trained professional musicians that performs a range of traditional marches, fanfares and patriotic favorites at military ceremonies, parades, retirements, commissioning and decommissioning of naval vessels, public concerts and more.
Tonight’s performance is part of the 2017 Navy Week outreach program taking place across the coast through April 8.
