Natatorium to begin fall swim lessons

The City of Biloxi’s Aquatics Division will begin its fall swim lesson classes on Sept. 12.

Registration for class enrollment begins at the Natatorium on Aug. 26 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. for Biloxi residents, and Aug. 27 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for non-city residents. Registration will continue weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. throughout the fall until all classes are full. Cost for the two-week sessions is $30 for Biloxi residents or $40 for non-city residents.

The Biloxi Aquatics division offers four types of classes for different ages:

–Infant Preschool Aquatics Program classes can be taken by children ages six months to four years old. In this class, the children must be accompanied by an adult.

–Level I and II classes are beginner-level classes for children.

–Level III and IV classes are intermediate-level classes for children.

–The adult classes are for adults of all ages. Adults will be taught basic swimming.

Four sessions will be offered in the fall, with the first beginning Sept. 12, and the last ending Nov. 18.

Each 45-minute session takes place Monday through Thursday at 5:30 p.m and 6:30 p.m. over a two-week period.

Classes are taught by American Red Cross-certified instructors.
