Downtown Biloxi’s newest park, The District Green, is hosting an outdoor, open-space block party today and this evening through 9:30 to usher in the newest gathering space off the restored Howard Avenue.
The gathering at Howard and Ohr Street began at noon with live music and food vendors, and it’s also taking place as Biloxi Main Street ushers in Finally Friday!, a promotion that sees arts and crafts vendors in the heart of downtown and specials from participating restaurants and businesses.
The new park is a venture of the District on Howard Avenue, the firm looking to create more residential and commercial interest in downtown.
