Mayor’s Cup tours downtown this weekend

The City of Biloxi will sponsor the 24th Annual Mayor’s Cup 5K Run on Saturday, Nov. 17. The 5K will begin at 9 a.m. and the one-mile will begin at 9:45 a.m. in front of the City Hall on Lameuse Street.

Registration for the race will begin at 8 a.m. in front of the former library across from City Hall. Entries on race day are $12 per adult for the 5K and $5 for all children 12 and under for the one-mile health run/walk. Walkers, race walkers, runner, and wheelchair participants are welcome.

All entrants will receive a T-shirt, and trophies will be awarded to overall male and female and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female age groups.

The event is hosted by the Gulf Coast Running Club and sponsored by the City of Biloxi and Mayor A.J. Holloway.

Reminder: Replant Biloxi meeting is this evening

Biloxi can learn about the care of trees and sign up for free trees during a public meeting of Replant Biloxi this evening at 5:30 at the Donal M. Snyder Center on Pass Road.
