Margaritaville, the family-style resort on Point Cadet, celebrates five years of fun Wednesday with a day of specials and capped off with a fireworks show over the water in East Biloxi.
Games on the “gaming floor” will be half price all day long, and at 5 p.m. the first hundred guests 21 or older will receive, in Jimmy Buffett fashion, a free Margarita. During the evening, local families may purchase wristbands to an anniversary Splash Bash, including the use of the pool and water playground, with live entertainment from 9 p.m. until midnight. At 9:15 p.m., a fireworks show will begin, with viewing on the pool deck and and at Farruggio’s Lookout on the second floor of the resort. The wristbands can be purchased for $20 at the arcade, on the second floor of the resort. Availability will be limited; free admission for children age five and younger.
“As we have been part of the Coast these last five years, we have overcome challenges that make this milestone well worth celebrating,” said Chief Marketing Officer Tessy Lambert. “The future is bright, and we look forward to many more years and exciting island-themed memories to come.”
First opening June 23, 2016, on the site of the former Casino Magic Biloxi, Margaritaville Resort Biloxi became an immediate success as a family-oriented resort with a rooftop water park and an indoor 55,000-square foot arcade. The Biloxi resort offers several unique dining experiences, including Margaritaville Cafe, Farruggio’s Pizzeria, 5 O’clock Somewhere Bar, Doe’s Eat Place, and The Lost Key Bar, billed as a “Happy Hour” hot spot.
