Let the good times roll!

Mardi Gras season is rolling along and more parades are scheduled through Fat Tuesday, March 4!

This year’s Krewe of Neptune and Gulf Coast Carnival Association parades follow the same new route, allowing for fewer floats on Beach Boulevard and around the hospital.

Traffic plans will also be in place with road closures. Each event will include heavy pedestrian and vehicular traffic. So know the parade routes ahead of time for the best viewing location and to be aware of road advisories.

Here is a list of upcoming events.

The food trucks

This year, there’s an exciting new addition that will make Fat Tuesday even tastier! For the first time, a Food Truck Pardi-Gras will be located in the HowHop Entertainment District under the I-110 overpass at the corner of Howard Avenue and Hopkins Boulevard, offering a mouthwatering lineup of food, snacks, and beverages to keep parade-goers fueled all day long.

Conveniently located just steps from the parade route, this new food hub ensures that revelers won’t have to wander far for delicious eats.

The trucks will be open during pre-parade hours and close at 2 p.m. Parade-goers may not cross Howard Avenue once the parade is in progress.

So, as you plan your Mardi Gras itinerary for Tuesday, March 4, make sure to swing by the Food Truck Pardi Gras at HowHop. Come for the parade, stay for the flavors, and make this Mardi Gras one to remember!  Let the good times (and good eats) roll!
