July issue of BNews Monthly on the way

The latest issue of BNews Monthly – with more pages, more stories and more advertisers – will be arriving in all Biloxi homes, businesses, apartments, condos and PO boxes in the next few days.

The newsletter and calendar of events, which follows up on the premiere issue in June, features more than two dozen stories, photos and maps about Biloxi issues. Readers will find a status report on infrastructure work, a preview of Biloxi’s three fireworks shows and the Blues Over Biloxi air show July 21 and 22, along with the city’s annual water quality report and additional storm and flood preparedness information. Also included are information on water and sewer progress in Woolmarket, and the new Woolmarket Public Library, a city-county venture.

The 16-page newsletter, with a monthlong community calendar as its centerpiece, is four pages larger than the premiere issue and features a half-dozen advertisers: Big Play Entertainment Center, the Biloxi Shuckers, The Peoples Bank, Treasure Bay Casino and Hotel, Edgewater Mall, and Dale Partners.

BNews is produced by the city’s Public Affairs Division. The city’s Downtown Services Division is responsible for compiling the Community Calendar. The Ad Group is design consultant, and Knight-Abbey Printing and Direct Mail ensures that the newsletter is mailed to all 24,000 postal customers in Biloxi by the first of each month.

Community Calendar:  Submissions for the August calendar of events are due by July 10. Email information – name of event, date and time, location, and a one-sentence description with admission fee and contact info – to Kay Miller, Downtown Services manager, at kmiller@biloxi.ms.us.

Attention businesses: BNews offeres you a chance to have your advertisement in every home, business, apartment, condo and PO box in Biloxi each month. Reserve your space for the August issue by July 10.  Interested? Email online@biloxi.ms.us.
