Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich and the current seven city council members will be sworn in on Tuesday at the Biloxi Civic Center for another four-year term.
Doors to Civic Center open at 1:30 p.m. and the public ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. The ceremony will be replayed later on BTV: Biloxi Television.
Gilich will be sworn in by Justice Court Judge Nick Patano, who also will swear in Councilmembers Robert L. Deming III of Ward 4 and Nathan Barrett of Ward 7.
Also taking the oaths of office will be Councilmembers George Lawrence of Ward 1, who will be sworn in by District 1 Supervisor Beverly Martin; Felix O. Gines of Ward 2, who will be sworn in by County Court Judge Robin Alfred Midcalf; Dixie Newman of Ward 3, who will be sworn in by County Court Judge Albert Fountain; Paul A. Tisdale of Ward 5, who will be sworn in by his brother, Biloxi Municipal Court Judge William Tisdale; and Kenny Glavan of Ward 6, who will be sworn in by Circuit Court Judge Randi P. Mueller.
