The Biloxi Fire Department, as part of the citywide fire-rating process, will be conducting inspections of fire hydrants Tuesday in the neighborhoods around the fire stations at the Margaret L. Sherry Memorial Library and stations at Veterans and Pass Road.
Tests will involve testing water pressure at the hydrants by having them run for five-minute intervals.
Firefighters will be working along roadways east of Popp’s Ferry Road, as well as in Tanglewood and Bent Oaks subdivision, and off Atkinson Road.
Said Deputy Fire Chief Andy Mason: “We’re asking the public to please drive carefully in those areas because we have firefighters who may be working in close proximity to the roadway.”
