Mayor A.J. Holloway will autograph copies of the city’s “Katrina & Biloxi” photo album and DVD this afternoon from 4 to 5:30 at the Biloxi Wal-mart.
The 52-page photo album and 80-minute DVD sell for $39.88, plus tax, and proceeds from sales benefit the city’s Katrina Relief Fund, which will fund the city’s rebuilding effort.
“I’m hoping that this event will provide a chance for people to drop by and purchase their own copy or one for a friend,” Holloway said. “It might be a good Father’s Day gift. I also appreciate what Wal-mart is doing on this project, and we think this album and DVD does a good job of telling the story of the people of Biloxi and how we’ve dealt with this storm.
“I’m honored that Wal-mart thinks my signature is that important, but regardless, every sale helps our recovery effort.”
The Biloxi Wal-mart, which is on Pass Road south of Popp’s Ferry Road, is one of 12 south Mississippi Wal-marts selling the city-commissioned album and DVD.
