The Disney animated movie “Frozen” will be shown for free in Hiller Park Friday night, the highlight of a family affair that will include games, contests and a “Frozen” character costume contest.
The games and contests begin at 5:30 p.m. and the movie begins at dusk.
It’s all part of the Councilmember Dixie Newman’s continuing fund-raising drive to revitalize Hiller Park.
Hamburgers, hot dogs and carnival fare also will be available for a nominal fee.

Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art to host seniors activities

Natatorium to restore Saturday hoursÂ
The Biloxi Natatorium, the city’s indoor Olympic-size swimming pool, is re-introducing Saturday hours beginning July 5, when the pool will be open each Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
The pool had reduced its schedule to eliminate Saturday openings because of a shortage of lifeguards.
“We just weren’t able to do it,” said Jamie Lee of the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. “We need anywhere from two to 10 lifeguards on duty, depending on the time of day and the time of year, and it’s just been hard to keep lifeguards, even though we pay from $10 to $13 an hour. Now, we think we’ve worked out the staffing issues.”
The Natatorium hours are now:
Adult lap swimming (age 18 and older), Monday through Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and recreational swimming (all ages)Â Monday through Friday, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
Hours at the Donal M. Snyder Sr. Community Center pool are adult lap swimming (age 18 and older), Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to noon.
