Here’s the story on the lane closures in West Biloxi

No doubt motorists have noticed the fiber optics work along major thoroughfares across the city, especially in those areas, such as Pass Road where traffic has been limited to one lane in some cases.

The boring work, which involves installing underground cable sleeves, is making way for new high-speed fiber optics cables to be installed by either Cable One or AT&T.

Contractors are working to minimize lane closures where possible.
