Jim Cantore, the storm-chasing meteorologist from the Weather Channel, was in town the other day, but have no fear. No storms on the horizon (knock on wood), but Cantore did leave articles of clothing in his wake.
The Ohr-O’Keefe’s “Katrina +10” exhibition is now showcasing the black “Storm Chaser” baseball cap and L.L. Bean Weather Channel jacket that Cantore wore during his hectic days on the Mississippi Gulf Coast covering Hurricane Katrina.
The two articles of clothing are on display in the Beau Rivage gallery at the Ohr, where you’ll also find the emotional and inspirational (and award-winning) work of the Sun Herald and WLOX on display.
“Katrina +10,” which also features galleries showcasing the efforts of Mississippi Power, Hancock Bank, Hands on Mississippi, the Mississippi Department of Transportation, and artist Marlin Miller, is open daily.
