Southland Designer Homes, a company owned by second-generation builder Phil Frisby, has broken ground for its model home in the first phase of the Hidden Springs subdivision.
Hidden Springs represents 166 acres of the 1,478-acres Belle la Vie master-planned community, which will be about three miles north of Interstate 10, with easy access to Mississippi 605 and 67, and U.S. 49. The initial phase of Hidden Springs will be a 26-lot subdivision. Ground on the model home was broken last week.
“We were honored to have so many people celebrate the groundbreaking of our model home in Hidden Springs with us,” Frisby said. “We feel very fortunate to be the first builder in this subdivision, with a fantastic location in Biloxi, and we’re excited to be a part of the first residential phase of Belle la Vie, a multi-million-dollar, multi-phase master-planned community.”
Belle la Vie, which has been discussed since early 2005 before Hurricane Katrina, will consist of multiple zoned parcels of land and is a mixed-use, master-planned community consisting of single-family residential, a retirement center, an innovation and technology center, commercial, condominiums, townhomes and apartments. Each of those entities will likely have different ownership and will have individual development plans that will be governed by the Master Property Owner’s Association.

News & notes: Biloxi 320, week in review, senior Olympics, council meeting
