Governor: Beaches open Monday morning

Gov. Tate Reeves announced today that beaches would open to the public Monday morning, but Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich reminds residents that social distancing should continue to be a part of their routine.

The Mississippi State Department of Health, meanwhile, reports today that 169 new cases have been identified statewide in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 3,793 confirmed cases statewide.

The state also report 140 deaths, an increase by 11 from Thursday.
