Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich and his wife Serena welcomed a special visitor to their home Friday. Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant dropped by to meet with the mayor and discuss matters of importance to both Biloxi and the state.
Bryant congratulated Mayor Gilich on his impressive victory in the recent special election, and the two spent an hour and a half in a private conversation about the mayor’s immediate agenda.
“It was very gracious of Governor Bryant to visit with us at our home,” Gilich said. “We opened a dialogue about a city and state partnership that will have far-reaching implications in development and growth for Biloxi. I think by the end of our meeting I had convinced the governor that he, too, is Biloxi.”
