Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich this afternoon signed an order allowing salons, barbershops and gyms to open on Monday at 8 a.m., in accordance with an Executive Order issued by the governor today.
However, Gov. Tate Reeves’s order places a host of restrictions on salons, barbershop and gyms, some more detailed than the city’s Opening Up Biloxi Again plan that was announced May 1.
“We are asking operators and customers to please follow the guidelines that have been issued by the city and the state,” Gilich said after signing the order, his fifth involving the coronavirus. “We also remind all business operators to remember contact tracing, which is an important tool to help deal with any new outbreaks that could occur.”
