Beginning Thursday, visitors and residents will once again have an eco-friendly, inexpensive way to travel in and out of Biloxi.
Flixbus, the bright green buses, will offer riders direct connections to Houston, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Atlanta, Mobile, and Lake Charles as well as interconnections to cities such as Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Miami and Orlando.
Ticket prices start as low as $4.99 and can be booked on FlixBus’s website or App. Buses are equipped with free WiFi and power outlets at every seat. The bus stop is located on Dr. Marin Luther King Jr. Boulevard next to the Biloxi Transit Center.
“This is an outstanding service for our community,” Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich said. “Our top-notch transit center is conveniently located for those moving in and out of Biloxi. The good thing is, all will be smiling. All aboard.”
Flixbus operated briefly in Biloxi in 2019 and is resuming service with trips to and from Biloxi five days a week with various departure and arrival times throughout the day. The buses are eco-friendly by meeting a high level of efficiency in terms of fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
