Farmers Market festival is today in downtown Biloxi

The season’s last Downtown Farmers Market Festival takes place today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Farmers Market on Howard Avenue at the I-110 overpass.

In addition to farmers market vendors, visitors will find live entertainment, recycling information, book signing and gardening demonstrations by Nellie Neil “Garden Mama,” cooking instructions and hourly giveaways of plants, fruit and vegetable baskets, cookbooks and homemade goods. Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs will be sold for lunchtime.

The Biloxi Farmers Market, which is at the corner of Howard Avenue and Hopkins Boulevard, will continue to be open every Tuesday and Thursday. Today’s event is sponsored by the city, Biloxi Main Street, Harrison County Beautification Commission and the IP Casino Resort Spa.
