Residents of the Woolmarket and surrounding communities can now drop off their monthly water, sewer and garbage payments in a drive-up drop box that has been installed at the fire station on Woolmarket Road.
The box, which is identified by signage, is on the northwest corner of the fire station, allowing drivers to drop off their payments without having to exit their vehicles. The city recommends that no cash payments be deposited at the box.
Incidentally, the city’s meter-reading and collections contractor, Meter Reading Specialists or MRS, is upgrading its billing system to allow Biloxi customers to pay by phone or online, using either debit or credit cards. The upgrade, which MRS will roll out in the next couple of months, also includes a new detailed bill that will show residents their monthly trends in water usage.
