This week in economic development, we saw the very successful opening of both the “Level Lounge” and “Kress Live” in the Vieux Marche’. The downtown parking lots were filled to capacity and the Police Department reported that everything went very smooth.
In other news this week, the Development Review Committee reviewed the site plan for the “Flipside Bar and Grill” to be located on Caillavet Street. DRC also reviewed the final site plan for the Arbor Landing Apartment Complex on Popp’s Ferry Road.
The Architectural Historical Review Commission approved the building designs for the new Sal and Mookie’s Restaurant to be located on Lameuse Street. Contractors have installed the footing/foundation for the new “Reef Restaurant” on Beach Boulevard. Also, the Planning Commission has four cases scheduled for public hearings for next Thursday.
Lastly this week, the Community Development Department issued 96 building permits with a total construction valuation $ 2.2 million dollars.
