The Biloxi Police Department hosts an annual Citizens Police Academy.
The program is designed to give citizens insight into how the Biloxi Police Department serves the community.
The CPA program helps to build a stronger bond between the police officers and the department’s personnel with the local citizens. It also allows a better understanding of what the Biloxi Police Department does, how it’s done, and why they do what they do.
The CPA is a several-week class taught at the Biloxi Training Center, 321 Division St. The program includes classroom-based teaching, a ride-along, a department tour, and some hands-on demonstrations with police equipment.
Participants must be at least 21 years old, a resident of Harrison County, and must complete an application, which is available at the front desk of the Public Safety Center.
