Biloxi Police are reminding motorists to expects to see a larger number of Cruisin’ the Coast visitors Wednesday, as a downtown block party takes place throughout the morning.
Hundreds of Cruisin’ the Coast automobiles will be on display throughout the streets of downtown Biloxi Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Visitors to the free block party will have a chance to get a close-up look at the vehicles and meet their owners. Additionally, entertainment stages will be set up near the Peoples Bank and on the Town Green.

Biloxi Police Chief Bruce Dunagan, meantime, is reminding motorists that Cruisin’ means about 3,500 extra vehicles from across the country are tooling the streets of Biloxi and the Coast during the overall 10-day event.
Dunagan is advising local motorists to avoid U.S. 90 if possible because of the increase in traffic.
“We’re asking people to consider using Pass Road, Irish Hill or even I-10 unless they want to be a part of the Cruisin’ procession,” Dunagan said. “We’re asking people to have fun, but be patient and obey traffic ordinances.”
