This Week in community development, the city council voted unanimously to support the construction of the Back Bay Boulevard extension. This approval will allow the owner of the Biloxi Boardwalk Marina to move forward with the development of Biloxi Pointe. The proposed  $260 Million Dollar development project will include a casino, hotel, additional restaurants, retail and a number of other resort amenities.
Also this week, a building permit was issued for the new Petco Store to be located on Pass Road at Popp’s Ferry Road. Permits were issued for two new single family houses, and the building plans review has been completed for Shoe Department Encore to be located in Edgewater Mall.
